My name is Marina Hert I am a qualified German, English and Russian translator. I am a graduate of the University of Heidelberg, Germany.
My passion for medical translation was already awakened during my years of study. This was why I chose medicine as my supplementary subject. In addition, I also attended numerous medical translation classes.
After my studies, I continued to develop in the sphere of medicine.
Initially, I worked as a freelance interpreter for the International Medical Service of the University Hospital of Freiburg, Germany.
My responsibilities included:
- Interpreting of physician-patient conversations during consultations and checkups
- Interpreting further education projects for foreign physicians.
In that time, I developed many medical and pharmaceutical terminology databases, which I have been continually improving ever since.
My next position was as a Clinical Safety Assistant at the Roche Pharma AG in Grenzach, Germany.
My responsibilites included:
- Translation of medical forms, study information, medical reports, etc.
- Translation quality check.
Once I had gained much experience, I decided to continue my freelance practice as I find it multifaceted and challenging.
